The Air Jordan 3 Retro ‘Rust Pink,’ arriving 5/28, wraps the upper of the legendary basketball sneaker in nubuck materials in the namesake Rust Pink tones. To this day, the AJ3 remains one of the most notable sneaker silhouettes worldwide. From this partnership, Tinker crafted the now-iconic elephant print. We should see it at Nike SNKRS and hopefully the usual big box retailers. Released in 1988, the Air Jordan 3 was the first design by Tinker Hatfield in his three decades of collaboration with the Jordan legacy.
Grab a detailed look at this upcoming women’s addition and be on the lookout for its release later this Spring. Eyelets, then, embed within in “Crimson,” matching that of the lower heel as well as the Jumpman that embroiders the tongue. Elsewhere, the suedes are dyed the titular tone near completely, stopping just for the tooling, lace unit, and collar who collectively contrast in a light, somewhat aged “Sail” neutral. The toe cap and counter, for example, is marked with the iconic Cement Print, though here it’s filtered through shades of a light grey and a complementing floral. The upper, aside from the new tones, still bears its signature details. The latter, alongside its return to “Cool Grey,” will also be featuring a women’s colorway hued primarily in “Rust Pink.” Though they’ve already revealed many of their Spring 2021 releases a couple months ago, Jordan Brand continues to add to the list with noteworthy offerings for the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT, the Jordan Delta Mid, and heritage classics like the Air Jordan 3.
